The Murchison’s falls rest camp privatized by Uganda Wildlife Authority has just concluded a concession agreement with the Red Chilli, one of the two leading back packers facilities in Kampala, to manage the Paraa Rest Camp near the Murchison’s Falls park headquarters.

In addition to 3 privately owned and managed lodges at Murchison’s UWA had been managing the rest camp directly, but in line with privatizing services the camp was advertised some time ago and has now changed into the private sector. Back packers And overland truck tours still form a large portion of travelers coming to Uganda and visiting the national parks, rafting the Nile or visiting the gorillas or chimpanzee parks besides other protected areas.

The Red Chilli in Bugolobi and the Backpackers in Natete are the two most commonly used facilities of its kind, offering do accommodation, areas for camping but also private rooms and cottages, depending on the depth of the individual’s pocket. They also form focal contact points for the overland tour operators coming through Uganda. The inclusion of the Paraa Rest Camp in their stable will now give an increased incentive to the Red Chilli owners to promote tours to Murchison’s Falls and the use of their new facility.
