Fort Murchison Lodge is a spacious accommodation found on the Eastern bank of relaxed flow of the Albert Nile. The lodge is located in the former Aswa Lolim Game reserve outside the boundaries of the northern section of the Murchison Falls National Park. Accommodation at Fort Murchison Lodge

Fort Murchison Lodge consist of 12 en-suite spacious accommodation units. Each unit has a spacious bedroom and each has a comfortable beds, bathroom with countersunk basin, and showers that offer either hot or room temperature waters. Every room has a private balcony, writing desk, and sofas.

There are also tents with shared bathrooms. The tents are furnished with 2 single beds, mosquito nets, a bedside table and a power outlet for charging your electrical equipment. The tents are placed under a grass thatched roof, creating a private outside terrace for intimate evenings. They all share a communal ablution block with showers and flushing toilets. No need to worry about linen as all bedding and towels are provided.

Room

Fort Murchison consists of 12 en-suite units comprising of a spacious bedroom with comfortable beds, bathrooms with countersunk basins, and showers with plenty of hot water from solar heaters. All rooms boast a writing desk and a private balcony with its own sofa. The atmosphere is a mix of African luxury with a touch of Swahili style.

Restaurant and Bar

The restaurant décor has a Swahili touch decorated with picture and drawings from the first explore adventures. The restaurant bake its own bread, so everyday it’s a fresh bread served, and this accompanied by a taste of African/Ugandan coffee and the local and international dishes. The breakfast, lunch and dinner have flexible time they are served depending on the needs of the visitors.

The rooftop terrace is the perfect spot for your sundowner drink while enjoying the breathtaking views of the Albert Nile. The 4-course dinner is served in the restaurant downstairs.

Fresh fruits and vegetables like citrus, mango and pawpaw to jackfruit, passion and avocado are picked from the lodge’s private gardens. The chef fixed menu also provides for special dietary requirements, so everyone gets good care.
