Baker’s Lodge sits on the southern shores of the mighty Nile River which transects Murchison Falls National Park. The lodge derived its name from an English explorer Sir Samuel White Baker. This intimate, safari-styled lodge is set within a large private area with direct river access, large shady trees, and wetland areas hosting abundant birdlife along the water’s edge. The views onto the river are vast and just extraordinary with islands hosting nesting egret birds, elephants bathing, and pods of hippos regularly viewed.
Baker’s lodge comprises ten suites and each of them is raised from the ground on supporting pillars with its deck overlooking the river. The lodge is made of a choice of thatched safari cottages standing on raised platforms. Roll-up netted windows give extraordinary views of the bush, from your bed. The tented beds and en suite bathrooms made with traditional baths. The en-suite bathrooms are open plan with solar hot water showers and baths with a view in some units. Solar lighting completes the services for this eco-friendly top quality establishment.

Accessing the Baker’s Lodge
Located outside the boundaries of Murchison Falls National Park on the Southern Bank, accessed right from Mubako gate about 2.5km. And can as well take a charter flight that land either at Bungungu southern bank or Pakuba airstrip on the northern bank and transfer to the lodge.
Rates begin from US$ 240 per adult during Low Season (sharing in double/twin accommodation).
High Season Months: January, February, July, August, September, December

Low Season Months: April, May, November

Getting to Baker’s Lodge in Murchison Falls National Park
Baker’s Lodge can be accessed by road or air. By road, drive from Entebbe or Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park, and your journey can run for 6-7 hours. By air travel, you can depart from Entebbe International Airport (EBB) for Murchison’s airstrips like Bugungu, Pakuba, or Chobe.
