Nile Safari Lodge is nestled amongst a papyrus forest, on the southern banks of the Nile River and each chalet or luxury tent offers a prime viewing spot for birds and wildlife. The lounge area has a shady deck, canopied by a large fig tree (popular with the Monkeys!); there is also a campfire and a refreshing swimming pool in which to take a dip.

This luxurious eco-lodge is ideally located on the southern shores of the River Nile amid the well-to-do papyrus forest. The lodge is designed with beautiful wooden chalets along with lavish tents that are located in a perfect area to conduct spectacular views of the park along with the African wilderness.

The most exciting aspect about this lodge is the natural feel that you experience when you get close to the environment. Experience the beauty of Africa while staying in this eco-lodge which is well designed with ten spacious rooms, 5 wooden chalets as well as lavishness tents that are well equipped with en-suite washrooms along with air-conditioned rooms that are very comfortable, and are equipped with luxury balconies that will offer a perfect view of the area.

The lodge comprises high-quality facilities to provide you with an extraordinary stay in Murchison Falls National Park, and these include; a fully stocked bar, a restaurant serving international and local foods, and a lounge along with the beautiful wilderness. At the lodge, during the evening hours, guests will enjoy the campfire along with traditional dancing. The swimming tools help you to cool off the heat of the day and after the long day’s activities at the lodge’s infinity swimming pool.

There are a number of activities available from the lodge:

Boat Launch Trip: take a leisurely 3-hour boat trip to the foot of the falls and watch out for hippos, crocs, buffalo, elephants, and antelope. The lodge can supply drinks and a packed lunch upon request.

Drive to the Top of Murchison Falls: Watch as the Nile River explodes through a narrow ravine 43 meters deep, crowned by an almost permanent rainbow that has become a trademark of the Falls. For the more adventurous, there is a steep pathway leading down to the froth and roar below.

Game drives: Take a game drive and meet warthogs, lions, elephants, and buffalo. Murchison Falls National Park is also one of only 2 parks in Uganda that is home to giraffes. The lodge can supply drinks and a packed lunch upon request.

Walking Trails: Explore the banks of the Nile with our resident ornithologist guide and discover the abundance of beautiful birds in the region. With Uganda boasting 11% of the world’s known bird species, you will be spoilt for choice!

Sport Fishing: Pop down to ‘Crocodile Alley’ and try your hand at a spot of fishing. The aim is to bring in a Nile Perch which can sometimes weigh in at 70kg! Fishing permits, equipment and boat hire are organized through the Uganda Wildlife Authority  – this can be arranged in advance at the Lodge.

Village Walks: Visit Mubaku Village and gain a unique insight into the lives of the local community. Sip tea with the ladies or plow the fields and experience the daily toil of traditional farming. These activities are coordinated by the Earthworks Foundation who also facilitate additional income-generating activities for the village so that they directly benefit from you visiting Nile Safari Lodge.

African Bush Dining: Nile Safari Lodge has several prime locations for that extra special dining experience. The lodge staff will arrange the perfect, private setting and special menus will be prepared by our restaurant.
